This is an interesting story. This filly is a TWIN
sister to the 2003, 2 year old world champion, The Sky Command. How did
this happen? Well,
That Lady's
in Command (See
breeding program) was bred to The Sky Watch and they were able to
flush 2 fertilized eggs and embryo transfer one to be kept by Lady and the
other in a surrogate mare. They are separate births but 2 eggs!
This mare is a twin sister to The Sky Command, who won the 2 year old World Champion, amateur division, and is a 2006 World Grand Champion in the Amateur Specialty division, as well as Horse of the Year in this same category for 2006.
Crimson Sky had a short, but successful show career due to a foot injury. She was able to ribbon well in the Southwest Circuit and Middle Tennessee.
This mare has a great driving back end and is very
showy and fun to ride.
At the recent Marshall Texas show, Crimson Sky took 4th place in
the amateur specialty class with me and 4th in the amateur specialty
championship class with me (we had it won the first direction. :)
Crimson Sky was fun to ride at the West Monroe, LA show...this was
my first show with her, and she was able to pull out a 4th in a very
respectable class of 10. She also managed a 5th out of a large
specialty class.
